Shanghai, China – May 28, 2026 – Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation ('Toshiba') today announced the launch of the DCL54xx01A series of four-channel high-speed standard digital isolators for industrial equipment, expanding its digital isolator product line. The series consists of 10 new models housed in a SOIC16-W package, supporting a maximum operating temperature of 125°C, with mass shipments starting today.
With the widespread adoption of SiC and GaN power devices, industrial equipment designs capable of operating at high temperatures have become practical. However, electrical noise between input and output in isolated signal transmission can cause malfunctions, driving demand for isolators that combine high noise immunity with high reliability to achieve stable control signal transmission.
Toshiba’s new digital isolators support a maximum operating temperature of 125°C and feature proprietary magnetic coupling isolation transmission technology, achieving a common mode transient immunity (CMTI) of up to 150 kV/μs (typical), contributing to stable equipment operation. The series offers multiple channel configurations: 4 forward / 0 reverse, 3 forward / 1 reverse, and 2 forward / 2 reverse, meeting the selection requirements for isolated communication interface applications in industrial automation such as I/O interfaces, motor control, and inverters.
These new products complement Toshiba’s previously released DCL341x0B series (small SSOP16 package, low-power medium-speed communication up to 25 Mbps), allowing customers to select the most suitable product based on communication speed range and application needs.
Toshiba will continue to develop digital isolators for industrial equipment and automotive applications, contributing to carbon neutrality and providing high-quality isolators that enable stable communication and control in electrically isolated equipment.
