Vishay Introduces HighCurrent Radial Through-Hole Inductors with 20% Lower Core Loss and Support for Up to 209 A

MALVERN, Pa., USA and SHANGHAI, China – July 10, 2026 – Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced the expansion of its IHXL series of radial through-hole inductors with four new devices: the automotive-grade IHXL1500VZ-3A and IHXL-2000VZ-3A, and the commercial-grade IHXL1500VZ-31 and IHXL-2000VZ-31. Featuring a new ironalloy core material, the inductors reduce core loss by 20% compared to the previous generation, operate at temperatures up to +155 °C, support filtering applications requiring up to 209 A, and offer a more cost-effective solution.

The series is available in two package sizes – 1500 (38.1 mm × 38.1 mm) and 2000 (50.8 mm × 50.8 mm) – with inductance values up to 10 µH, enabling higher impedance for optimised filtering performance and enhanced ripple-current control in switching converters. The magnetic shielding structure and pressed ironpowder core effectively constrain stray flux to improve EMC performance, while the low thermal resistance and flat top surface facilitate heat dissipation. These features make the inductors suitable for battery charging, BLDC motors, DC/DC converters, and PFC chokes in automotive, industrial, solar, and wind-energy applications.

The new devices are RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, and support custom terminations, inductance values, current, and temperature ratings. Samples are available now, and production quantities are in full volume shipment.
