Malvern, Pennsylvania, USA, and Shanghai, China — September 14, 2026 — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced the launch of a new medium-accuracy position sensor for industrial applications using inductive sensing technology — the RAIK045I MP. The product is an absolute inductive kit encoder that, compared with magnetic technology-based solutions, is immune to external magnetic field interference and can be used close to motors.
The RAIK045I MP features a compact, lightweight design, resolution up to 16 bits, repeatable positioning accuracy ≥14 bits, and a maximum speed of up to 10,000 rpm, combining high performance with cost-effectiveness. It is suitable for robots, motor drives, conveyor control, automated guided vehicles, off-road vehicles, agricultural machinery, as well as wind turbine pitch and yaw control, cleaning robot wheel assemblies, solar panels, and actuator position control for hospital beds and surgical tables.
The sensor offers absolute accuracy ≥10 bits (0.35°), operates stably even in the presence of external magnetic fields, and provides excellent resistance to moisture, airborne contaminants, vibration, mechanical shock, and temperature changes. The device is only 45 mm in diameter, 6.6 mm thick, and weighs approximately 13 g; the rotor weighs 4.3 g, with extremely low rotational inertia. It uses a force shaft design suitable for hollow-shaft mounting, with an effective electrical angle of 360° and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. The wide temperature range enables it to meet accuracy requirements even when positioned close to motors.
The RAIK045I MP provides a reliable and precise positioning solution for industrial applications.
